หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Application of Inter Simple Sequence Repeat (ISSR) Marker for Typing of Saccharomycopsis fibuligera Isolated from Loog-pang, Kao-mag and Satho) ผู้เขียน:เสาวลักษณ์ ด่านสกุล, วิเชียร ลีลาวัชรมาศ, Charoen Charoenchai, Hathairat Urairong สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf Abstract The D1/D2 26S rDNA sequence was shown to be applicable for yeast species identification. The size of this region was 600 bp and the identification results showed more than 98% similarity of all isolates compared to the sequences in the Genbank database. This research also included a small survey for ISSR variation in the yeast Saccharomycopsis fibuligera. Eight of twelve UBC (University of British Columbia) primers gave 80 reproducible patterns. The size of the ISSR products ranged from 300 to about 2000 bp. Among the eight primers used in this study, the primers in the UBC group (880/888/889) gave the most informative profiles for grouping and distinguished 11 S. fibuligera isolates into six groups. The two isolates in groupVI were further divided from others by UBC 891. Only one of the primers in the UBC group together with UBC 891 was enough to discriminate the 11 S. fibuligera isolates into seven groups. These results indicated that the ISSR marker could be successfully applied to study intra-specific variation and that there were genetic variations in the yeast species of S. fibuligera from different kinds of food products in Thailand. |
หัวเรื่อง:การศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการผลิตในฟาร์มสุกร 30 แห่ง II. ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างดัชนีการผลิต ผู้เขียน:ปรียพันธุ์ อุดมประเสริฐ, Kitcha Urairong, Tawatchai Sakpuaram, วรวิทย์ วัชชวัลคุ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe data collected during 1992 from 30 commercial swine herds using PigLIVE or PigCHAMP database was used to calculate series of production indices for each herd. The simple correlation coefficients between primary and secondary indices were examined a set of 15 members of secondary indices which were highly correlated with pigs weaned/sow/year. A linear regression model best explaining the variability in pigs weaned/sow/year was then constructed by means of All Subset Regression procedure of Statistix.tm Litters/sow/year (r = 0.93), born alive litter size (r = 0.75) and preweaning mortality (r = -0.25) were correlated with pigs weaned/sow/year. The linear regression model having wean to first service interval, farrowing rate, annual percentage increase in sow inventory, lactation length and % stillborn piglets as its independent variables, provided the best explanation for the variability in pigs weaned/sow/year (R-squared = 0.85, P<0.01). The sow lactation intake and the gilt management may be the two most important factors causing suboptimum performance among the herds studied. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : The Effect of Virginiamycin on Gilt Productivity) ผู้เขียน:ปรียพันธุ์ อุดมประเสริฐ, Kitcha Urairong, Suvicha Kasemsuwan, Charoen Parchariyanon สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractA field trial to demonstrate the effect of cirginiamycin (VM) on sow productivity under local environment was conducted on a 1,200 sow herd in Suphanburi province. A twin set of gilts was randomly allocated to either control or treatment group. Gilts in the treatment group received gestation and lactation diets containing 40 ppm of VM while gilts in the control group received diets containing none. Gilts were served on their second observed estrus using artificial insemination. The number of services and the sequence of boar used at the mated estrus were forced to be the same within a twin set. A twin set was excluded from this trial if either one returned to estrus, exhibited vaginal discharge of failed to conform with the service rules. The farrowing rates between groups did not differ singnificantly (84.7 VS 82.6, P = 0.7780). The treated gilts produced 1.7 piglets born alive/litter (P=0.000) and 1.6 piglets weaned/litter (P = 0.0044) more than the control gilts. However, the average weaning weight of piglets nursed by the treated gilts was significantly lower (6.28 VS 5.67, P =0.0114). When the treatment factor was withdrawn and the reproductive performance of both groups was followed through the subsequent parity, the averages of weaning to the first service interval (5.54 VS 5.60, P=0.8465), the farrowing rates (75.75 VS 75.75) and the piglets born alive/litter (9.10 VS 9.78, P =0.5575) in both groups became similar. |
หัวเรื่อง:อิทธิพลของช่วงหย่านมถึงผสมครั้งแรกที่มีต่ออัตราเข้าคลอดและขนาดครอกของสุกรแม่พันธุ์ในประเทศไทย ผู้เขียน:ปรียพันธุ์ อุดมประเสริฐ, Kitcha Urairong, Tawatchai Sakpuaram, วรวิทย์ วัชชวัลคุ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractData from 6,871 parity records, collecting from 8 commercial swine breeding herds which have been under the health and management services of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kasetsart University for 2 years, were used to determine the relationships between the wean-to-first-service interval (WFS) and the subsequent farrowing rate and litter size. The regression procedures both logistic and polynomial were utilized to find the models best explaining the variability of the data. Sows were most fertile when the WFS was between 3-5 days and 20-25 days. The farrowing rate for this group of sows was likely to be above 85 percent. On the other hand, the farrowing rate for sows having WFS between 0-1 day and 10-17 days could be expected to be lower than 80%. The strong association between WFS and farrowing rates suggested that a strategy to maximize sow lactation intake was likely to result in improved herd farrowing rate but may not result in improved herd litter size since WFS indicated only a small fraction of litter size variability (R2 = 0.089). |
